Jan Canty & VEsna Cikovic
Jan Canty is a psychologist, homicide survivor, and host of the podcast Domino Effect of Murder. She is also the author of A Life Divided: A psychologist’s memoir about the double life and murder of her husband - and her road to recovery. Jan’s husband, Alan, was murdered in Detroit, MI in 1985.
Vesna Cikovic is also a homicide survivor. Her son and only child, Boris, was murdered in Toronto, ON in 2008.

Louise Godbold & Elynne Greene
Louise Godbold is the executive director of Echo Training, a non-profit organization that specializes in trauma education. She is also a survivor of sexual violence who has been interviewed by the media dozens of times.
Elynne Greene has held many survivor support roles throughout her career, including her current role as the manager of victim services and human trafficking for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Rachel Maurice & Angela M.
In this video, we hear from school shooting survivors Rachel Maurice and Angela M. As a teenager, Rachel survived a mass shooting at her high school in Santee, CA in 2001. Angela, a high school teacher, was the subject of intense media attention after surviving a shooting inside her school in Mattoon, IL in 2017.

Shauna Brown, Cijay Morgan & Arlene Stuckless
In this video, we hear from three survivors whose loved ones’ traumatic deaths were the subject of media attention.
Shauna Brown’s son, Demal Graham, was murdered in Toronto, ON in 2017. Cijay Morgan’s mother, Agnes Morgan, was killed by an impaired driver in Edmonton, AB in 2013. Arlene Stuckless’ uncle, who was more like a brother to her, was murdered in Toronto, ON in 2020.
